Cancer impacts everyone, but it doesn’t impact everyone equally. Did you know that colorectal cancer incidence is highest in American Indian and Alaska Native individuals? Butch Hill is an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and resides in the Big Cove Community. Butch was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2016. He encourages others to get their screenings. “They save lives and keep you here for a little while,” he said. “The life you save may be your own.” Learn which cancer screening tests are right for you at cancer.org/getscreened.
