When Baptist Health System KY & IN set out to build their new Hamburg campus – one of the largest and most ambitious health care projects in Central and Eastern Kentucky of the past 25 years – they needed an equally impressive HVAC solution. With AEC joining the project alongside many of our manufacturer partners, we engineered a comprehensive and energy efficient HVAC system fit for a medical campus where airflow and air quality is critical. Our manufacturer partners on this project included VFDs from ABB, adiabatic humidifiers and reverse osmosis water treatment from Condair USA/CA, and custom air handlers from ClimateCraft. We also leveraged venturi airflow valves from Phoenix Controls and operating room ceiling systems from Precision Air. Plus, we incorporated flow meters from ONICON Incorporated, lab exhaust fans from Strobic Air Technologies, and fan coil units from IEC - International Environmental Corporation. Larry has over 25 years' experience in the industry as an alumnus of YORK/Johnson Controls and Kerr-Greulich Engineers, especially working in the commercial, industrial, higher education and healthcare verticals.
