Thanks to everyone who attended the second part of our DE&I series presented by Humana, in partnership with the Louisville Urban League (LUL) earlier this week. It was an outstanding event with DE&I expert and 2023 Hall of Famer Valerie Irick Rainford, CEO of Elloree Talent Strategies. We explored current DE&I policies, trends, and insights on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. The moderated discussion and fireside chat with John Crockett, President of LG&E and KU Energy LLC, were enlightening and full of networking opportunities. Big thanks to our sponsors, including Courier Journal, Local IQ, and our CEO Council Sponsors Brown-Forman, LG&E and KU Energy, and Norton Healthcare, as well as our host sponsor, Muhammad Ali Center! #GLIEvents

We are thrilled to see a graduate of the first cohort of GLI’s Power to Prosper Accelerator, Joseph Scott, promoting such an important initiative! The Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission has launched a new certification to promote second-chance hiring in our community. If your company’s workforce is made up of 10% of individuals with felony or class A misdemeanor convictions, you may be eligible. As an additional incentive, Metro Louisville also announced a new goal to award five percent of its city contracts to companies with the certification to encourage reentry opportunities. https://bit.ly/4dgcm0X
