About us
The Greater Louisville Medical Society was established in 1892 by physicians in Louisville who sought to unite with their colleagues on a local level. The society has a rich tradition of promoting the science, art, and profession of medicine, protecting the patient-physician relationship, and advocating for the health and well-being of the community. GLMS has countless member benefits. Not only does the Society offer an Annual Pictorial Roster – the #1 independent networking and referral source – and several informational publications for physicians and their patients, but there are also exciting networking, education and leadership events provided for members throughout the year. GLMS members also enjoy a discount on hospital credentialing and help with provider enrollment. GLMS has founded several medical charities including The Healing Place and Supplies Over Seas.
