Morton's The Steakhouse

My husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary last night and Alex A. took great care of us! We had a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. I also appreciated that it wasn't served too quickly so that we had time to really enjoy each other and the ambiance, as well as digest a bit between courses. We ordered the filet and NY strip, baked potato and the lobster Mac. Our chopped and Caesar salads were excellent, as well as the creme brûlée. We are so glad we chose Morton's to celebrate our special occasion!

We had reservations and got seated quickly, it was busy but everything from the service to the food to the ambience was awesome. Our server was the best!!

I was in downtown Louisville this weekend for an event and my friend and I decided to check this place out and I'm so glad I did!

The restaurant is in the basement of the building and has a dark, intimate vibe which made for great ambiance. Our waiter was attentive but didn't hover which was perfect.

We started with the bacon wrapped scallops and ahi tuna as appetizers. I'm not a huge tuna fan in general but I had a bite of it and it was very fresh tasting. The scallops however were AMAZING! I only wish there were more than 3 of them in a serving--I could have made a meal out of it! For my entree I had the lobster ravioli which was delicious! The sauce was a creamy sauce and the ravioli tasted fresh--the serving size was plenty for me.

It was a bit pricey but I would definitely come back for a special occasion.

Tonight was my birthday dinner and I couldn't wipe the grin off my face throughout the entire night, Morton's Louisville was so amazing and every single possible detail was on point. I know everyone says "this was the best".... Until something better pops up a year later, well I'm saying that this Morton's Location provided us THE absolute perfect night. The ambiance is so unique and warm, the service is second to NONE and the food was served to us in absolute perfection. I'd like to mention the host Ryan Clark he was so genuine and kind, the birthday picture and card was very unexpected and special

All of this greatness is under their veteran GM Margaret, she came by our table to thank us and to have a nice little conversation.

Here a year later to update my review! Wow! Since the last time debacle, the manager Margaret, made everything spectacular! We arrived and were greeted and seated at a lovely table decorated for our 15th anniversary. We were able to have wonderful improved drinks! We got old fashions, and they were not watered down and made perfectly. We ordered the steak and seafood special, and the meal was delicious! Our server, Tiffany, was AMAZING! She was very attentive and ensured we had the best experience. Margaret was actually out on vacation this visit, but Max, the on duty manager was remarkable as well! He checked on us a few times and was very kind! The chef even came out to check on how our food was. Our steaks were absolutely perfect! The wedge salad is a must! I had lobster and my husband had the scallops--both cooked perfectly. The loaded mashed potatoes were the best side we have ever had! Delicious! This may have been the best experience we've had in the 16 years of celebrating at Morton's. We are so appreciative of the Morton's staff who stepped up this year and made everything run smoothly! We appreciate the time and energy that went into improving our experience. Very impressed with the management and this dining experience!

My husband and I love Morton's steakhouse. If you are looking for a place to wow someone for a special ocassion...this is it!! We celebrated my husband's birthday there this year. They personalized the menu, decorated the table and even provided us with a picture!! The ambience in Morton's is very romantic. Our waiter Alex was very attentive.

Amazing birthday dinner. The host was attentive and polite, even taking our photo for the occasion and giving us a print in a nice card. The server Tiffany was absolutely phenomenal. 10 out of 10! The food was top notch, but the most impressive part was how special they made us feel. A true celebration!

Almost didn't go after reading some negative reviews online but decided to still give it a chance and I am so glad we did! Before we get to the food I have to mention the unparalleled service! Ryan was our waiter and he was friendly, prompt, and incredibly helpful without hovering. He ensured we had the best experience and it was greatly appreciated. Overall the food was excellent but to be completely fair the sides were just so-so. We got the Wagyu meatballs, Cesar salad which was large enough to share, Wagyu Filet, and Manhattan. All were great but the Wagyu filet can't be compared to any other steaks in the area. Unbelievably juicy and tender with tons of flavor! For sides we got scalloped potatoes and onion rings. Hot chocolate lava cake with caramel was also a refreshing surprise on a played out dessert. Definitely going again!

My husband and I had the best experience here last night. We both got the filet and I had Bacon wrapped scallops and he got his with the jumbo shrimp. We also got three of their family style sides: asparagus, au gratin potatoes and the corn souflet. All of it was incredible. We both also got the chopped salad before our meal with their Bleu cheese dressing - it was incredible and quite large for a pre-entree salad. Finally, we got the lava cake with ice cream for dessert and it was incredible. Service was perfect and the ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely return!
