Since 1985, the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana (WAC) has brought the world to Kentucky. Based in Louisville, WAC advances global awareness in the local community by engaging residents and community members with exceptional leaders and young people from around the world, contributing to the multicultural mosaic of Kentucky and Southern Indiana. WAC is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America; which was begun in 1918 with the formation of the Foreign Policy Association and is the largest nonpartisan, nonprofit grassroots organization in the United States dedicated to educating and engaging the American public on global issues.
