Did you know that social activity can possibly delay the onset of dementia? That’s according to The Alzheimer’s Association – and at Trilogy, it’s what we’ve chosen to embrace with our latest approach to Memory Care. Coined in the early 1900s by Italian physician Maria Montessori, The Montessori Method is an education practice that fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth in all areas of development, including: -Cognitive -Social -Emotional -Physical Montessori prioritizes giving its participants complete control – letting them lead the way on projects, events, and lessons vs. being handheld by their educators. Our newest campus welcomed its first resident on February 22nd and held a VIP Ribbon-Cutting event on March 14th. “In a recent study conducted by NORC at the University of Chicago (funded through a grant from the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care), research showed that residents experience a 10% decline in relative frailty levels one year after moving into a senior living community.
