Atlas arrived on time yesterday to install new windows and a new storm door. They got to work right away and worked through lunch and had our windows and new storm door installed by 2:30. They cleaned up, went around and double checked to be sure they hadn't left anything undone. Put out blinds and curtains back up where needed. We got several bids from other companies and Atlas was the only one that said they would put the blinds back up. Others all stated they would not. We also by far got the best price from Atlas. Very nice crew. The owner and his daughter both stopped by to make sure the job was going good. Very happy with our new windows and door. A big thank you to Atlas.

We purchased our home over 8 years ago. Its current windows were in terrible shape, some had been painted and sealed shut, which was a safety hazard. We'd installed new windows at our former house using Atlas Siding & Windows. Our parents had also used them for windows. We decided to call them again for 19 replacements. They look great and I appreciate the safety features and locks. The windows can also be tilted inward to clean the outside (no need to hire a window washer!).
Recently I decided to replace our screen doors. One was broken, one I wanted a version that included a screen, another is a huge replacement with a fiberglass door and windows. A big investment but should last us for years. Mr Story, the owner of Atlas, came to our home to discuss and provide a quote. After getting the first quote, it was revised to include a couple of options that had been left off.
He has a small showroom as well and we visited afterwards so I could get a better visual of a larger replacement door. He also came out an additional time to redo measurements and finalize the order. Unfortunately, the quote and door option was revised again. The pricing increased by a large amount as compared to the original discussion, which caused me to pause. I know my larger replacement door is likely small dollars compared to many of Atlas's customers but it's a big item for us, and apparently we have a complicated measurement.
During the quoting process for doors we also asked for help to file a warranty claim for a broken window and screens. Vinyl Kraft holds the warranty and sent a replacement window but had been given information for the wrong section, which led to more waiting and rescheduling the replacement.
While happy with our windows from Atlas, due to the quote revisions we decided not to move forward with an order for the doors. The delays gave us time to meet with more companies and led us to a solution that works better for our dimensions and budget.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Auri H.Prospect, KY053Jan 28, 2022
Thank you to owner Chuck, Delsi, Tony, and crew! Outstanding service in all areas. Owner is responsive and involved. The crew is top-notch, professional, and great to work with on addressing all questions, issues, and concerns. Loving our new door! Will certainly be calling in the future for all other updates to our forever home.

Few years ago we had atrium door installed. We had too call them every year to come back to our house and check our door. Water came under our door and our carpeting got really wet! They would send a guy out on a motorcycle and he would put in a new threshold every time. That never fixed the problem! This past year I have called every month. I leave messages. No one ever returns my calls. Receptionist either says they are on vacation or she will have someone call me. They never do call bk. Now they aren't even answering the phone!! Bad business to deal with. I would not recommend them to anyone!!!

We had a great experience with Atlas. The man who came for our estimate was super kind and knowledgeable. He was able to reduce the price without the rub around. We had checked with other companies and were encouraged to look into Atlas as well.
I feel we got an amazing deal on the quality of Windows we purchased and had installed. Our home looks so much nicer and updated just with new windows. The gentleman who installed our windows were appropriate, professional and kind. I was super pregnant and felt they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves and installation was great!
So pleased!
(My only very small complaint would be the time we waited. However it was the busy season, it had rained and they had some changes in staffing. They sent us a letter indicating it was taking extra time, but for quality service it wait was worth it. We did call to remind them we were expecting a child soon and couldn't wait much longer. They were great about getting with us as soon as they had a cancellation or day available!)Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I am making this post for my parents based on their experience today (3/30/2017).
My parents ordered replacement doors for their basement that came with a lifetime warranty. Atlas had been out once before to make some adjustments on them, as they had an issue. They were now having problems with the locks not wanting to stay locked and contacted Atlas to come out once again. It took 3 phone calls and 1 month for someone to call them back. She received a call from Chuck and they discussed the issue. It wasn't clear whether the problem was normal wear and tear or a larger issue. My mother just wanted someone to come out and assess the problem. After a few back and fourths my mom used the phrase "Well let's cut to the chase and set up an appointment". Thats my mothers way of saying "Well let's just set up and appointment and see what's going on." In no way she being insulting or aggressive, if anything she was attempting to save him a lengthy phone call. For some reason that set Chuck off. He got very loud and boisterous and would not let my mother get in another word. He told my mother that she did not appreciate his time and that he could just send someone out there and charge her. He also stated very condescendingly "You know what I'm going to do for you.. .Nothing!". Then hung up the phone on her.
My mother called back to Atlas to report this issue and find out who she spoke with. It turns out it was the owner of the company Chuck Story. She was floored. Never in a million years would you expect someone to act like that towards a customer, especially the owner. Apparently his time was worth it when they were buying, but not when asked to stand behind his product/work. She was not asking for anything more than an experienced set of eyes to come look at the product they paid a premium for. He owes my mother an apology and an appointment to come look at the doors. I just hope it does not take another month for this to happen.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Unfortunately with social media today, time and energy needs to be used responding to someone that wasn't even part of the conversation. The conversation went well with Mrs. Cunningham until she was told the product was not warranted for life for normal wear and tear. I told her that I was the owner and that I would come out and look at her door, repair it for no charge if I could. If I could not fix it myself I would have to send out one of my installers and at that point a charge would apply. She immediately stated that the product has lifetime warranty and she would not pay for an service or repair. I explained to her that the product was installed in 2006, over 10 years ago. I asked her if she could name something else that she bought over 10 years ago that she could have fixed for free...? We have been in business for 34 years and have been because we bend over backwards for our customers. Some customers are unreasonable. I made an offer to come out and look at the door for FREE. The customer did not like that a charge may apply and began expressing herself in a not so pleasant way. I chose not to listen and ended the conversation. The company came highly recommended by two people. However, I called and spoke to someone twice to have someone stop by for a quote to replace a broken sidelight window. In both instances I was told someone would be in touch "next week" to schedule an appointment. Six weeks later, I'm still waiting.

Hello Lisa. I have recently taken over the role of Office Manager and I noticed your review. I apologize for your unpleasant experience with us. Upon your initial phone call you should have been told that we do not fix broken glass in sidelites, doors or windows. We can only offer full replacement of the door with sidelites or a new vinyl replacement window. You should have been referred to a glass company that we have had a great experience with and we often refer customers to with the same issue. Again, I apologize for your negative experience with us. Sincerely, Atlas.

Please read this if you don't want to incur thousands of dollars in repairs due to an incompetent install job. This company does a great job from a sales pitch perspective but when it comes to actually doing the work they have major issues in their install process. They do not believe it is necessary to wrap and seal your windows which will cause an enormous amount of damage over time. We gave them the opportunity to fix the problem and they frankly refused unless we fronted the entire bill, despite the warranty. There are a ton of reputable window companies out there that do the install at the standard level or above in this company is not one of those. Unfortunately, we now know we are the only ones that have this experience with Atlas windows.

In February, we were contacted by the new homeowner of this property about water damage. She was not the original customer of the home that we performed work on in 2003. The previous homeowner (our customer) had never complained about any water damage and even used us on the new home that they purchased. The house was sold and passed inspection. The owner of the company met with an insurance adjuster and told him that we were unsure how the damage to the exterior aluminum trim work had happened, but since it had been 13 years since the work had been completed and this customer was not the original homeowner and that there had never been a complaint by the original homeowner there would be a charge to re-trim the windows. We have done dozens of homes in the area and we have never received a complaint about water damage.
