      Let's talk about Brendon's.

First, the ambiance of the restaurant is great. They played good music and had a couple tvs with the ball game on. Second, the food was Amazing! I had the corn chowder, brisket, and the bourbon ice cream. The recommendation is all mine. Lastly, the service. Morris and Ross assisted with tonight service at the bar and you better ask Morris about his old fashioned or you will be shamed! Ross is a great guy and willing to help you pick out the best choices on the menu!

Come on by and treat yourself.

First of all the service and staffs are awesome I also like the ambiance and the foods were great.

We have try several dishes and all were not disappointed.
My favorite is the Yellow fin tuna steak, it was delicious.

Will definitely return when we're in town.

      So...
I was in Louisville, staying at The Embassy Suites on 4th st. I have stayed there before and always wanted to try Brendon's Catch 23, so this time I was able to squeeze it in my busy schedule for a late dinner.
The ambiance is absolutely amazing. It is definitely dark, sexy and elegant.
I would say this would be a great date night or special occasion spot.
Or really just meeting up with friends as they do have a big bar area.
The service is AMAZING.... Shout out to MORRIS AND ROSS!!!!!!!!
The drinks thanks to our bartender Morris were amazing.
      The food...so delish!
We had the calamari and crab in a jar( with toast) as appetizers.
      Both dishes were super tasty.
For our main dishes we had the scallops and the tomahawk steak...
Im salivating just writing this review.
      Both dishes were amazing!!!
I love staying at the Embassy Suites and will definitely make Catch 23 part of my stay the next time I am in Louisville.
And I hope Morris and Ross are still there

The interior dinning and bar area was nice and dim, perfect for intimate settings. I was impressed on how tender and flavorful the salmon was but the sides were underwhelming and the portions were too small for the price paid.

Superb seafood. Elegant setting. Professional service. What's not to like about this restaurant? It's expensive but there's value to be had , especially the calamari. The fish is fresh and cooked to perfection. I've been here more than once and never disappointed.

      This meal was so good!

We were in Kentucky for our friend's birthday and he decided he wanted his birthday meal to be at a seafood and steakhouse. I'm always a bit weary of ordering seafood while I'm inland so I chose the 8 oz filet mignon with a side of mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and so tender!

I started my meal with a caramel apple martini that in hindsight should have been a dessert drink. It was delicious but super sweet and took awhile to drink. I eventually swapped over to a vodka mule instead to go with dinner.

My vegetarian boyfriend unsurprisingly had few options here. He ended up sharing a couple of appetizers with the table (whipped goat cheese bruschetta and herb and cheese filled mushrooms) and had the wedge salad without bacon as his main course. Looking at the menu now, I see there's a cauliflower steak option that wasn't there when we went but would be a great alternative to permanently add to the menu.

We were seated in a private room for 9 and we enjoyed the seclusion. Our waiter was attentive and we had a great time.

While the spacious layout of the restaurant may result in echoing sounds, opting for a booth might provide a more intimate dining experience, and hearing. standout dish was the Tuna Tare Tare, with interesting flavor. Be sure not to miss the beignets fluffy pockets of air, trust me you will have room. Where impeccable service meets culinary excellence. Whether you're a seafood aficionado or a curious epicurean, this establishment is a must.

Excellent service accompanied by beyond excellent food. Ordered drinks before the meal. The Mule was an excellent choice.

      Server: Yasmine
Food: My wife ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill. I ordered a Lobster Tail with the Lobster Mac N Cheese.

Food was prepared timely and cooked to perfection.

Have you ever had that meal that leaves you saying "damn, that's the best meal"? This is it. From service to food to atmosphere this place had it. When we first arrived we were a bit concerned because the noise level was a bit high but it turns out it was one table and they left shortly after we arrived. We were greeted by one of the nicest, most attentive servers we have encountered in years, perhaps ever. Sonya is a true gem and I hope everyone gets to experience service like this at some point in their life. We had questions along the way to which Sonya had the answers or found the answers for us. There is nothing worse than when a server doesn't know something and makes it up as they go along. Sonya knew the menu and what to recommend. When it came to whiskey pours she either knew it or went to get the information for us. She even brought over a bottle for us to look at to help answer a question. She went above and beyond at every step. We had the arancini with Chilean sea bass that was good, something you wouldn't find anywhere else. The warm crab and butter in a jar was good, maybe not $50 good but it was good. The salad course was salad, good salad, but still just salad. Next came the entrees. Sonya recommended the scallops. She did not lie. The scallops were served with a pea risotto, or as I would call it, pure magic. These were by far the best scallops I have ever had. Ever. The pea risotto was the most pure flavor of a natural pea without being overwhelmingly pea flavored. Do yourself a favor and get this dish. Hubs had the shrimp and grits and although he liked it he agreed my dish won the night hands down. Neither of us had room for dessert.
Being in KY you know we had bourbon. We tried the "smoked old fashioned" that they make table-side. Morris did a great job with the theatrics but for my taste it was too sweet. Many people will love this drink and again, the theatrics were fun. Next we each ordered a neat 2 oz pour. Hubs ordered the OF1910 extra extra old. This was another "damn" moment that left me searching for the bottle online. I had the OF Statesman, another solid choice.
Honestly if I could give this place ten stars I would. Look at my Yelp history, reviews like this don't come often. Go to this restaurant and I promise you will be happy you did (ask for Sonya's section).
